A Family Legacy Grounded in
West Tennessee
Our family history is interwoven with the earliest chapters of West Tennessee’s development. Our roots in the region stretch back more than two centuries and reflect a tradition of hard work, civic involvement, and dedication to community—values that continue to guide our firm today.
Early Settlers and Community Builders
The first known family member to settle in Weakley County was Bradley Bookout, who received a land grant in 1830. His role extended beyond farming and settlement. In 1832, he served on a jury of view, where he and a group of local citizens were tasked with viewing and marking a road from Huntingdon to Foster’s Mill. His service reflects the deep civic responsibility that has long been a hallmark of the family.
Just beyond Weakley County, George Francisco became one of the early settlers of Benton County. His appearance on the county tax rolls in 1837 (just two years after the county was formed) marks the earliest known recorded presence of the Francisco name in West Tennessee, anchoring the family’s longstanding connection to the region.
The Family Farm: A Century of Continuity
In 1919, Andrew’s great grandmother, Eva Elizabeth Rigsby purchased a farm located in the Caledonia community in Henry County. This farm was where she and her husband Arzo made their home and raised their children. The farm has been passed down through generations and remains in the family today—serving as a symbol of stability, perseverance, and commitment to the land and people of West Tennessee.
A Historic Building with a
Story of Its Own
The home of Francisco Law Firm is itself a piece of local history. Built prior to 1900, the building has served multiple roles in the community over the past century. From 1922 - 1956, it operated as a U-Tote-Em grocery store. From there on, it was the home to an electronics store and then the law office of former Tennessee State Senator Roy Herron, further connecting it to the civic history of the region. Today, the building stands renewed, blending historic character with modern functionality—an embodiment of the firm’s respect for tradition and commitment to serving the needs of today’s clients.
